How to enter the dotties 2018

Entries are now closed

We’re doing things differently this year, in order to make the entry process easier for you. You can now submit your entries via our new awards entry platform.

Benefits of using our brand new awards platform:

  • You can now create your entries, enter multiple categories and submit with ease
  • The platform auto-saves entries in-progress to avoid losing your hard work
  • You don’t have to finish your entry in one go – you can save your work and return to it another day
  • Got an entry suited to multiple categories? Use the ‘copy’ functionality to add it into multiple categories
  • We’ve included some pointers for each category explaining what it is we’re looking for and what to include. This will give your entry the best possible chance of being selected by our panel of judges

THE CATEGORIES

Here’s all of the categories for the 2018 dotties. Under each one we’ve included a description, as well as some pointers explaining what we’re looking for with each of your entries for the category in question.

Creative Flair: Best Subject Line

Perhaps the most stressful copy to write – but often the most rewarding. Whether you’re proud of a powerful pun or made a big impact on your conversion rate, we want to see the subject lines that have compelled your customers to click. Show us what you’re made of!

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  1. Provide some background on your business (max 50 words)

  2. Please tell us your subject line(s)

  3. Why was it innovative? (max 150 words) Were you stepping out of your comfort zone? Was it a departure from your usual subject lines, or did you just know that you had a good one? Or maybe you didn’t!

  4. Why was it successful? Include specific results (max 150 words) Did you hit your KPIs – percentages and ROI would be a good way of showing results

Inspiring email creative: The BIG Idea

This award recognizes the Einstein moments in marketing creative. We want to see your most visually inspired campaigns; the ones that turn your competitors green with envy and prove an inspiration to others. This category isn’t about results – it’s pure vanity!

Here’s what we’re looking for:

Content Excellence: Most Compelling Campaign

If you’re in on the ‘content is king’ hype, this one’s for you. We want to see the content campaigns that have surprised and delighted your customers. Anything goes: one-liners, stories, videos, quizzes and games – we’ve got time for anything that’s driven real success for your brand.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

We know that many marketers don’t make the mark when it comes to leveraging data. So if you’re feeling proud of some data mobilization that’s provided a positive customer experience, we want to see how you’ve identified, connected with and wowed your target customers. We’re not afraid of the geeky s*** either – bring it on!

Here’s what we’re looking for:

Omnichannel Pioneers: Most Connected Campaign

This award is for the brand that’s started flexing their omnichannel muscles. We know that dotmailer plays well with others – and lots of our customers are leveraging tech to meet audiences in their own moments. We want to see how you’ve marketed to the right customer at the right time on the right channel.

Star Performer: Excellence in Marketing by an Individual

Have you or a member of your team been empowered by using dotmailer on the day-to-day? This award is reserved for an individual that has advanced themselves and your brand. Who do you think has used dotmailer to meet targets, execute strategy and inspire your team?

Big Impact, Small Bottom Line: Best Use of Budget

Who’s spun straw into gold, so to speak? This category is for teams who’ve transformed restraints into ROI. We’ll be looking for entries that demonstrate planning, passion and savvy spending to achieve excellence.
